I love do-a-dot printables. In fact, I love them so much I’ve created more than 40 sets of do-a-dot printables. Many of my do-a-dot printable packs include activities to help kids with letter recognition. But until recently, I had never put together an entire pack of alphabet do-a-dot printables.

In the next installment of my 101 Ways to Teach the Alphabet Series I am sharing a set of Animal Alphabet Do-a-Dot worksheets you can print and use with your child.

I found a cute set of animal clip art that included one animal for every letter of the alphabet. I’ve got alligator for A and bear for B. I’ve even got X-ray fish for X and queen bee for Q.

These printables are designed to be used with do-a-dot markers. However, they can also be completed using crayons, markers, stickers, or any other materials you choose.

I like to place the worksheet on a tray along with the do-a-dot marker.

My kids then use the fat, round tip of the marker to make a dot on the letters in the letter trail.

And this is what a completed worksheet looks like!
