Can you believe spring is just around the corner? Spring officially begins this year on March 20.
Perhaps it’s the warm weather, or perhaps it’s all the green leaves that begin to appear, but there’s just something so fresh and inviting about spring. It feels so nice to shed the extra layers of clothing and spend more time outdoors.
Does it feel like spring yet in your neck of the woods? We’ve had warm and sunny temperatures the last few days that have been just lovely!
And in this post I’m sharing several lovely spring activities for kids so you can get a jump start on the new season.
I just loved this fresh flower garden play dough from Fun and Fantastic Learning. The black play dough is striking and the fresh flowers look lovely.
With spring’s arrival, it is the perfect time to spend more time in nature. Education Possible shares some thoughts on how to start a nature journal to make your time in nature as educational as possible.
As the flowers begin to bloom, it’s a perfect time to make some flower crafts. Check out this recycled daffodil spring craft from JDaniel4s Mom.
My Nearest and Dearest has been learning about the life cycle of a frog. It is okay to admit that I’m jealous? I’d love to find a pond or stream new us where we could watch tadpoles turn into frogs, as this kind of hands-on science activity is right up my alley!
Butterflies and spring also go together. Check out this beautiful spring flower butterfly craft from Fun and Fantastic Learning.
Finally, spring weather can be very unpredictable. I love how JDaniel4’s Mom is celebrating the arrival of spring with this fun spring weather headband.
I hope you enjoyed these spring activities for kids!
