In the northern hemisphere, summer officially begins in late June and ends in late September. However, for many people summer unofficially starts after Memorial Day or once school gets out in late May or early June. Summer is a time for enjoying warm weather, long hours of daylight, and days by the water, whether that water comes in the form of an ocean, lake, or pool.
I am a warm-weather lovin’ girl, so summer is my favorite season of the year. (However, I could do without the temperatures that sometimes rise into the 90s and above!) On really warm afternoons, I’ll often fill up a plastic pool with water and let the kids enjoy hours of water play in our backyard. We also enjoy eating ripe watermelon and spendings lots of time outdoors.
On this page I am sharing all of the summer activities for kids and summer printables that have been featured at Gift of Curiosity.
