If I had to pick my favorite Arctic animal, there’s no doubt it would be the polar bear.
And today I’m sharing directions to make a simple and elegant black and white polar bear craft.
Note: For more Arctic resources, see my Polar Animals and Lands Unit Study page or grab my Arctic Unit Study.

To create this black and white polar bear craft, you will need the following materials:
- Polar bear template (free PDF)
- Black card stock
- White paper
- Medium sized google eyes
- Glue
- Scissors
- 1.5″ paper punch (optional)
- White chalk marker

Print the polar bear template onto white printer paper, then cut out all the pieces. (If you don’t have a printer you can simply sketch your own version of the template onto white paper.)
Trace one of the circles onto black paper and cut out the black circle. Alternatively, you can use a 1.5″ hole punch to make perfect black and white circles.

Glue the main part of the polar bear’s body along the bottom edge of the black cardstock.

Glue the head and ears on top of the body.

Glue the black circle toward the bottom of the face in order to make the nose.

Use glue to stick the google eyes into place.

Add stars by using a white chalk marker to add small asterisks on the background.

Then enjoy your completed black and white polar bear craft!
