I am so excited to finally have finished this set of Arctic Animals 3-Part Cards. This is the printable I needed – but didn’t have access to – several years ago when my kids and I did our Arctic Unit study.
These Montessori-style 3-part cards assist children with learning and identifying 14 different common Arctic animals. They are perfect for building Arctic-related vocabulary and reading skills in young children.
Note: For more Arctic printables, see my Polar Animals and Lands Unit Study page or grab my Arctic Unit Study.
My Arctic Animal 3-part cards include the following 14 images:
- Arctic fox
- Arctic hare
- Arctic tern
- Arctic wolf
- Beluga whale
- Caribou
- Harp seal
- Musk ox
- Orca
- Polar bear
- Ptarmigan
- Puffin
- Snowy owl
- Walrus
For each animal, there is a picture and label card, a picture-only card, and a label-only card.
This set of 3-part cards pairs very nicely with the Arctic TOOB from Safari Ltd.
Indeed, my kids and I made extensive use of the animals in the Arctic TOOB during the course of our Arctic Unit.
I recommend having your children match the animals from the TOOB with the animals on the 3-part cards.
