A few year ago I published an Arctic Animals Bingo game that used illustrations of various Arctic animals.
But whenever possible, I like to use real photographs of animals. And since I was able to collect some high quality photos of 12 different Arctic animals, I thought it would be awesome to create a new version of my Arctic Animals Bingo using photos of these amazing animals.
So if you’ve got young children who love Arctic animals or who are learning to identify the animals of the Arctic, I hope you’ll enjoy using this free Arctic Animals Bingo game.
Note: For more Arctic printables, see my Polar Animals and Lands Unit Study page or grab my Arctic Unit Study.
Playing Arctic Animals Bingo helps children learn to identify and name various Arctic animals such as polar bear, snowy owl, walrus, and orca.
Plus, did you know that playing bingo can help children develop their executive functioning skills?
Executive functioning skills are controlled by the frontal cortex of the brain, and they are integral to the development of important skills such as impulse control. (We all want our kids to exhibit better impulse control, right?)
Changing up the rules each time you play Arctic Animals Bingo is a great way to give kids’ executive functioning skills a workout.
For example, the first time kids need to get a straight line to win. The next time kids need to get the four corners to win. The next time kids need to fill in all squares to win. Mixing it up like this will help kids develop flexibility in their thinking.
My Arctic Animals Bingo game printable features a total of 10 different playing cards. Here is a sneak peak at the first six:
And here is a sneak peak at the calling cards used for playing. You’ll notice these 12 Arctic animals:
- Polar bear
- Musk ox
- Arctic hare
- Arctic fox
- Walrus
- Snowy owl
- Harp seal
- Orca
- Caribou
- Arctic tern
- Puffin
- Beluga whale
You can play blackout Bingo, four corners Bingo, or line Bingo with these cards.
No matter how you play, my Arctic Animals Bingo game provides a great opportunity to learn about the creatures of the sea while having fun at the same time.
