In my quest to provide lots of Thanksgiving activities for kids, today I’m offering another one of my Thanksgiving printables – a Turkey letter sounds game! QBoy now recognizes all of the uppercase letters and most of the lowercase letters. He has also learned most of the letter sounds. However, he does still frequently confuse a few letters, like T and D.
XGirl doesn’t yet know the names of very many letters, but she has been doing great with her phonological awareness. She is always listening to words I say and rhyming them with both real and made up words.
I created this Turkey Letter Sounds Game to help both of my kids work on their letter sounds.
Note: For more Thanksgiving printables and activities, see my Thanksgiving Activities for Kids page.
The game is simple.
There are six featherless turkeys. Each turkey has a letter written on its chest.
There are also 30 feathers. Each feather has an image on it.
The first sound of each image corresponds to one of the letters written on the turkeys.
Your child’s task is to match the images on the feathers with the appropriate turkey.
