I don’t know how Disney managed to build an entire generation of young girls (and a few boys) that are in love with princesses. I really have to give their marketing department a lot of credit for the obsession they have managed to foster in so many children.
My daughter went through a brief princess phase in preschool, and then largely lost interest in princesses until we started reading a lot of fairy tales last year. Now her dream is to live in a big castle when she’s older.
