Carving pumpkins to make jack-o-lanterns is a fun Halloween tradition our family engages in each year.
Of course, once the pumpkin is carved, it never lasts more than a day or two before turning into a rotten, moldy mess.
So what is a parent to do when their child wants to make jack-o-lanterns well before Halloween?
I’ve got a solution!
Your child can get their jack-o-lantern making fix with this cute pumpkin printable.
Note: For more Halloween printables, see my Halloween Activities for Kids page.

This printable includes three different pumpkin shapes to serve as the canvas for creating your jack-o-lantern.

I’ve also included three pages of features – eyes, noses, and mouths. As you can see, your child will have at least ten different options to choose from for each facial feature.

To play, simply select and print the pumpkin your child likes best along with the three pages filled with eyes, noses, and mouths.

Cut out the various eye, nose, and mouth shapes.

Then let your child’s imagination run wild as they mix and match the eyes, noses, and mouths to create the perfect jack-o-lantern!
Doesn’t this jack-o-lantern look surprised?

I think this jack-o-lantern looks jolly, and maybe a bit mischievous.

This jack-o-lantern looks a bit sad or frustrated to me.

How does this jack-o-lantern look to you?
