The ocean is filled with all sorts of magnificent creatures both great and small. And I am a firm believer in exposing children to the wonders that are our oceans.
I created this Label the Parts of the Ocean Animals printable to give kids a fun anatomy lesson focused on different underwater creatures. Ocean animals have such different anatomy than humans and kids will enjoy learning about their different body parts.
These printables were designed for children in kindergarten through second grade.
Note: For more ocean-related resources, please see my ocean unit study page.

There are a total of 10 worksheets in this download, featuring the anatomy of the following animals:
- crab
- humpback whale
- lionfish
- lobster
- octopus
- orca
- shark
- squid
- marlin fish
- walrus
All of the worksheets include an image of an animal. Blank boxes around the animal are connected to various parts of the animal’s body by lines. There is a word box at the bottom with the words that go in the boxes.

Children can use the words at the bottom as a guide, and fill in the boxes with a pencil or crayon.

Or they can cut the words out and glue them into the correct box.

This is what the completed worksheet would look like if your child chooses to glue the words.

I truly hope your children will enjoy learning about the anatomy of ocean animals with these printables!
