My kids like to color just as much as the next kid. But sometimes just using crayons or makers on paper gets a little, you know, old.
But with kids, it’s funny how just changing up one aspect of an activity can breathe new life into it.
On this day, I had an empty cardboard box. I offered it to QBoy and XGirl along with some markers, and they were thrilled.
Just by changing up the medium on which they were drawing, this activity kept them totally engaged for quite a long time.
Have you experimented with other ways to make old activities new again? If so, please share them in the comments!
