My Halloween Drawing Pages are a great STEAM project as they blend art (drawing) with math (finding coordinates on a grid).
These drawing pages were designed for the budding artist who would like to draw nice objects but may need some support to get the proportions correct.
By overlaying a grid on top of the example image, kids can use the grid lines to help them figure out the right proportions for their drawing.
Inside my Halloween Drawing Pages pack kids will have the tools they need to draw a jack-o-lantern, ghost, witch’s hat, black cat, bubbling cauldron, bat, haunted house, and girl dressed as a witch.
The example images range from simple to complex, so this pack will provide a challenge for kids with a ranges of drawing abilities.
Note: For more Halloween printables, see my Halloween Activities for Kids page.
This printable includes eight different Halloween images for your children to draw.
Each page includes an image imposed on a grid on the left side, and a blank grid for your child to draw a copy of the image on the right side.
This is an art activity, of course. But it’s also a math activity, as children have to find basic (unlabeled) coordinates on the grid in order to draw an accurate representation of the image.
Below is what a completed page might look like:
