My Body Parts Bingo game has been available as part of my Human Body Printables Bundle for a while now. But I’m just now getting around to sharing it as its own separate printable.
My kids are way too old for this bingo game, but I kinda wish I had made it when they were younger because I think we would have had a lot of fun with it!
So, if you’ve got toddlers or preschoolers who are learning their body parts, I hope they will enjoy my Body Parts Bingo game!
Note: You’ll find more resources for learning about the human body on my Human Body Unit Study page.
Playing Body Parts Bingo helps children learn to identify and name basic body parts such as head, arm, shoulder, foot, and elbow.
Plus, did you know that playing Bingo can help children develop their executive functioning skills? Executive functioning skills are controlled by the frontal cortex of the brain, and they are integral to the development of important skills such as impulse control. (We all want our kids to exhibit better impulse control, right?)
Changing up the rules each time you play Body Parts Bingo is a great way to give kids’ executive functioning skills a workout. For example, the first time kids need to get a straight line to win. The next time kids need to get the four corners to win. The next time kids need to fill in all squares to win. Mixing it up like this will help kids develop flexibility in their thinking.
My Body Parts Bingo game printable features a total of 10 different playing cards. Here is a sneak peak at the first six:
And here is a sneak peak at the calling cards used for playing. You’ll notice these 12 body parts:
- Eye
- Foot
- Head
- Knee
- Arm
- Neck
- Shoulder
- Hand
- Back
- Leg
- Ear
- Mouth
You can play blackout Bingo, four corners Bingo, or line Bingo with these cards. No matter how you play, my Body Parts Bingo game provides a great opportunity to learn about the body while having fun at the same time.
